Probate Litigation, Will Contests

Matt has represented Executors, Administrators, beneficiaries of Estates, and individuals challenging wills in Probate Court and in de novo appeals in the Superior Court.

Estate planning is a complex field, but litigation is equally complex and the lawyer who drafted a will may be unwilling or unable to appear in Court.

Matt has been called in to numerous matters by estate planning attorneys, and has defended and prosecuted challenges to wills, will and trust construction, decisions of Executors, Administrators, as well as disputes over intestate rights in prenuptial agreements. He has represented proponents and opponents in will contests.

He has also represented people at Probate mediations.  Many of these disputes do settle; Matt has facilitated settlements favorable to his clients, and litigated the disputes when necessary.
